Max 2
✅ When to Use
- Crusher mantles and bowl liners
- Conveyor screws in abrasive media
- Pump impellers and casings (slurry)
- Auger flighting on rock or slag
- Bucket lips on fine abrasive material
🚫 When NOT to Use
- High-impact applications without abrasion dominance
- Work-hardening manganese steel surfaces
- Surfaces requiring post-weld machining
⚡ Technical Parameters
| Parameter | Value / Range |
|---|---|
| Electrode Diameter | 3.2mm / 4.0mm / 5.0mm |
| Current Type | DC+ (Reverse Polarity) |
| Amperage (3.2mm) | 100–130A |
| Amperage (4.0mm) | 130–170A |
| Amperage (5.0mm) | 170–220A |
| Arc Voltage | 24–28V |
| Max Layers | 2 layers without stress relief |
| Interpass Temp | ≤250°C — monitor between passes |
Machinability
NOT machinable — plan final dimensions before overlaying. Grinding only.
📋 Welding Procedure
01
Clean base metal thoroughly — remove all scale, oil, and paint
02
Preheat to 200°C if base metal is >25mm thick or high-carbon
03
Run stringer beads, avoid wide weave patterns
04
Monitor interpass temperature — do not exceed 250°C
05
Allow slow air cool — do not quench
⚡ Key Benefits
- High chromium carbide matrix
- ~60 HRC overlay hardness
- Reduced wear rate vs. generic rods
- Minimal prep on clean base steel
⚠️ IMPORTANT — READ BEFORE USE
Do not apply more than 2 layers without stress-relief procedure. This alloy is NOT machinable — plan final dimensions before overlaying.
